There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us.
While this pandemic has not been a welcome event, it has given us the opportunity to grow our outdoor programs and outdoor educational classroom which have been a tremendous success and an inspiration for the future.
Students will love their first introduction to school in our themed-based Preschool program. Students are introduced to new academic concepts in a nurturing environment that fosters academic development and social bonds with new friends. Students may begin as soon as they turn 3 years old and are potty trained.
Students will continue to develop their academic skills in this Kindergarten prep program. While we are continually challenging the students academically in Jr. Kindergarten, we also focused on helping our students grow their social, emotional, gross motor, fine motor and independence skills.
Our Sr. Kindergarten meets all of the Common Core Standards required by the public schools. LGCS Kindergarten has a smaller class size which allows us to differentiate the program to appropriately challenge each student to their potential.
One of the benefits of private Kindergarten is that it allows families an extra year to decide if their child's next academic step is 1st or Kindergarten in a public school.
Welcome to our blended Preschool in English and Polish. Students will have a gentle introduction to the American school system while strengthening their foundation for speaking, writing and reading Polish. This program is separate from our traditional English program is taught by Ms. Sylwia who was a science teacher in Poland.
Families have the option to extend the day with additional programs. Lunch & Fun give the children and opportunity to grow socially and spend an extra hour with their friends. Our Enrichment Program allows students to participate in additional hands on programing focused on specific subject matters such as music, science, art, and math.
LGCS has created an integrated eLearning and Enrichment curriculum that addresses core Illinois learning standards using farm and nature topics. We plan to be outdoors as much as Mother Nature allows us to be so children can interact with their environment, and each other, in a safe setting. Our elementary programs are open to all school districts. Registration Form attached below.
